Our feature story highlights Pastor Juan Aguilar retiring in September after 15 years as a missionary pastor and church planter in the Yakima Valley.
In 2007, Sinai Bible Church in Tieton, WA began with Juan and Dina Aguilar and their three children praying together in the living room of their home. The prayers were for their neighbors and for the City of Tieton to know Jesus.
Prayers were soon answered and people in Tieton started becoming believers and meeting for Bible studies in the Aguilar’s home. The church quickly grew and moved into a rented space until God provided Sinai Bible Church with its current location on Elm Street. God has blessed Pastor Juan and his wife, Dina, over the last 15 years as they have worked together to pour God’s love into the Tieton community.
Now on Sundays at 2:00 PM, you will find a sanctuary filled with worshipping families, a robust children’s ministry, and a full parking lot. Families have come and gone due to the seasonal changes in farm work, but the heart of the ministry has stayed the same. New families and believers are routinely welcomed into the close fellowship of believers where they experience God’s word being taught and lived out among the congregation
