Jesse Mooney, CrossLink Missionary Pastor ministering in Tieton, WA
God has blessed the ministry at Iglesia Biblica Sinai in Tieton, WA this year. Since Jesse Mooney joined CrossLink as a permanent missionary pastor in January, the church stepped into a transition period and reorganized ministries, resulting in many good things. The mid-week Bible study doubled, new families started more serious discipleship, and a door opened for the church to begin ministry with contracted farmworkers in the area.
One of the challenges with bilingual churches in a farming community is that the congregation follows the economy. Hundreds of people come over the years, hear the gospel, and then leave as harvest needs change seasonally in the area. We have found that God uses this economic dynamic in the farming community to spread the gospel between here and Mexico, El Salvador, Columbia, and Venezuela. This is one reason CrossLink has built connections between Christian communities in the Pacific Northwest and in Mexico and South America.
