Venezuela Ministries Assistance Update

The CrossLink Venezuela Ministries Assistance Fund supports pastors and ministry activities at
30 churches in the State of Trujillo with an average of about $30 per church each month. One of the ministry programs is called Arepitas de Amor or translated, “Small Bread Snacks of Love.” To give you a glimpse of the food ministry happening, churches continue to share details about 38 different mission points in neighborhoods, hospitals, and schools.

So far in 2022, the combined reports and photos from just 12 of the 30 churches show that these churches delivered 161 bags (containing rice, pasta, eggs, oil, or sardines) to families; and provided meals at ministry outreach events in 38 locations to 1,773 individuals: 1,211 children and 562 adults. The true number of meals provided by the churches is much higher.

In several neighborhoods, the same children attend a weekly Bible class every Saturday. Some churches provide both a meal at the ministry activity and send home an extra meal with each person.

Whether it’s one bag of food to one family by one church member or 30 bowls of oatmeal for a school breakfast, God is glorified. The good news of Jesus is shared through the many relationships,
Bible lessons, meals together, and important consistent conversations about following Jesus.
