December 2016 Ministry Update: Othello Ministry & Events
| Blanket & Coat Distribution – Othello, WA On the 29th of October, we partnered with churches from Yakima and Bellevue to give donated blankets and coats to Mixtec people in Othello. We came unannounced, but once we started setting up the blankets and coats to give away – word got out fast. In just a matter of minutes, there were perhaps 150 people gathered together. Everyone listened as Josh Ryan explained the purpose of the event and shared a recording of John 3:16-17 in the Mixtec language. After listening to the recording, Josh asked if everyone understood the language and yes, the message seemed to be well received. After thanking God, we passed out the blankets and served coffee, hot chocolate, and homemade cinnamon rolls. It was great to see that people stayed around to visit for a while. Even though our time there was short overall, it was very valuable. Please pray that God would use that event (and the ones to come) to open eyes to the true riches of the Gospel! |
